As a result of the illegal tapping of oil in Usolie-Siberian (Russia, Irkutsk region) 44 tons of diesel fuel have leaked into Angara River. Nearly 80,000 residents of the Irkutsk region have not water supply.

100 people and 44 units of a special equipment are involved in elimination of consequences of failure. According to the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, around the Cheremkhovsky water the maximum permissible concentration of oil products is exceeded on the average in 3 times.

From China, plane delivered 5 tons of absorbent carbon. It use for the filter on a water intake of the Cheremkhovsky area and cleaning of a surface of the river.

In towns, affected by failure water supply was stopped. In total without water there were more than 77,5 thousand people. Daily 40 tons of water are being delivered there.

A suspect is a 30-year-old man, the worker of one of the local enterprises appeared the suspect. Now, investigators are working with him.

The state of emergency was declared in  the three areas, near Budapest. Technogenic accident has occurred. The tank with a toxic waste at factory on manufacturing has blown up and poison river spreaded across the area. Some settlements were flooded.

Ecological accident has already carried away lives of four persons,  including the child. Another four were missing. More than a hundred people in hospitals.

About 700 thousand cubic meters of solution, which contains heavy metals, flowed from the reservoir. At hit on a skin it leaves strong chemical burns. Now in some places level of a toxic liquid in streets reaches two meters. Experts say that the pumping of chemicals will take more than one week. And on the complete elimination of consequences of the disaster may take years

The Chinese government has ordered to two thousand companies to close their outdated factories due to a too large amount of polluting emissions, reports AFP. Production must cease by the end of September.

Those companies which will not execute the government order in time, risk to face an interdiction for reception of credits, and also absence of permissions to new projects. They also face power cuts.

Interestingly, the list of companies whose factories might be closed, and there is a lot of public enterprises. For example, steel Hebei Iron and Steel Group can suffer, as well as aluminum Sinalco, one of the leaders in its field in the world.

Due to rapid industrial growth in recent decades, China has become one of the most polluted countries. Since the mid 2000's government began to take steps to improve the environmental situation and energy conservation.

To simulate the effects of oil spill, which occurred as a result of the accident on the platform of "Deepwater Horizon", scientists, University of Hawaii at Manoa (University of Hawaii at Manoa) released 5 million of floating particles at the crash site. After analyzing the speed and direction of movement of particles, researchers simulated the spread of oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.

Various shades of brown on the video, represented the concentration of particles in each square area with 100 km2 (10 floating particles in the area of 100 km2 corresponds to about 2 m3 of oil).
